I used to think my priorities were just… my responsibilities to get it all done and keep everyone happy. Don’t drop the ball. Be the one people rely on.
For a long time, I wore that as as a hat. Family, friends and colleagues depended on my inability to say no. But looking back now, I can see the truth:
Those weren’t my priorities.
They were patterns.
Patterns shaped in earlier vignettes—
where being valued meant being accommodating… agreeable… low maintenance.
So I over-functioned.
I people pleased. I avoided conflict. I carried more than I needed to. And I told myself: this is what leadership requires. But it came at a cost—my energy, my clarity, my sense of self.
I was living in a constant state of subtle hypervigilance…
always scanning, anticipating, managing. Now I think of that time like an enchanted forest—familiar, but built from old stories. Stories that once protected me…
but no longer aligned with who I was becoming.
The shift didn’t happen overnight.
It started with small pauses:
✨ Are these my priorities… or inherited patterns?
✨ What am I afraid will happen if I choose differently?
✨ What would it look like to lead from alignment instead of reaction?
That was the beginning of my ReSoul Revolution.
Learning to regulate.
To sit with discomfort.
To set boundaries.
To stop earning my worth through overextension.
And slowly, my priorities changed.
Not because my responsibilities disappeared—
but because I did.
Now my priorities feel more:
Grounded. Clear. Chosen. I aim to protect my energy and sometimes I fail at but I work at:
• Protecting my energy
• Creating space to think
• Delegating and just saying no
• Setting boundaries
• Leading from a grounded place
This is what I know now:
Priorities aren’t fixed.
They’re vignettes. Moments where we either repeat an old story…or choose a new one.
This is ReSouling means to me….Walking through the forest of who we’ve been—
and choosing who we’re becoming.
✨ You can choose a new path.
