Rachel's Story
When Everything Looked Fine
For much of my career, I believed energy management was optional.
Like many high-performing professionals, I focused on delivering results, managing complexity, and staying resilient through discipline. I exercised. I ate well. I slept. I maintained relationships. From the outside, everything looked functional.
But something underneath was slowly collapsing.
I began to notice subtle but persistent signs that something was off. Chronic overwhelm. Irritability. Decision paralysis. A quiet loss of joy. Even simple choices about how to spend my time began to feel strangely difficult.
My nervous system was stuck in constant high alert.
The Wake-Up Call
Between late 2024 and late 2025, a series of health disruptions compounded that depletion. None were catastrophic on their own, but together they took a cumulative toll.
At the same time, my professional life entered a prolonged period of ambiguity. Despite strong performance and visible impact, advancement remained elusive. The goalposts kept moving. Explanations were unclear.
What lingered was not just disappointment. It was something deeper. A quiet erosion of agency, fairness, and self-trust.
That was when I realized something important.
My body was holding energy my mind had not yet acknowledged.
What I Discovered
Much like the “telltale heart” in Poe’s story, something inside me was pounding to be recognized.
Not guilt, but trapped energy.
Resentment unexpressed.
Grief unprocessed.
Agency unclaimed.
I felt as though I was no longer living my own life. All of my energy was going toward maintaining stability. There was nothing left for creativity, curiosity, or joy.
Then I saw what I had been missing.
I still had agency. Just not where I had been looking.
Small decisions.
Margins of choice.
Time boundaries.
Permission to rest.
Permission to say no.
These were not trivial acts. They were acts of reclamation.
Slowly, deliberately, I began retraining my nervous system out of crisis mode.
The Birth of the ReSoul Framework
What emerged from that period was not just healing, but insight.
Energy is not something we can endlessly push through. It must be understood, protected, and aligned.
Through reflection, study, and experimentation, I began developing a set of tools and practices that helped restore clarity, emotional balance, and a sense of agency.
These practices eventually became the ReSoul Framework and the foundation of my book, ReSoul Revolution.
My Work Today
Today I guide individuals and groups through the ReSoul Framework so they can reconnect with their inner intelligence and lead their lives with greater intention.
The work is simple but powerful. Small shifts in awareness and daily practices can transform how we think, feel, and act.
My goal is not to give people answers.
My goal is to help them rediscover the wisdom and agency that already exists within them.
Invitation
If you are ready to reconnect with your energy, your agency, and your deeper sense of purpose, I invite you to begin your own ReSoul journey.
"Life is a celebration of the soul and is about taking ownership of your inner power. Fear and worry are denying you self love, freedom and success on your terms." -Rachel Salzberg
About Rachel Salzberg
Rachel Salzberg is a leadership development expert, keynote speaker, podcast host, author, and CEO of Facets Coaching. She works with individuals and leaders in organizations such as Microsoft, helping them improve performance, navigate complexity, and lead with greater clarity and intention.
With more than 20 years of experience across technology, academia, healthcare, and the nonprofit sector, Rachel is recognized for her distinctive approach to leadership and personal development. Her work integrates neuroscience, reflective practices, and wellness principles to help people align their mindset, energy, and decision-making.
Rachel is the creator of the ReSoul Revolution, a philosophy and framework that explores how aligning the brain and the soul can unlock deeper personal mastery and conscious leadership. Her work is grounded in the belief that leadership begins internally and that individuals have both the capacity and responsibility to cultivate awareness, integrity, and purpose in how they live and lead.
Her book, ReSoul Revolution, introduces this framework and offers practical tools called ReSoul Micro-Rituals. These simple practices help people recognize limiting patterns, shift their energy, and create meaningful change from the inside out.
In addition to coaching individuals, Rachel works with organizations through leadership consulting, workshops, and retreats designed to help leaders navigate complexity while maintaining clarity, resilience, and purpose.
Rachel lives in Hood River, Oregon, where she spends time outdoors hiking, gardening, designing jewelry, and writing. She published ReSoul Revolution in December 2024.
